Alaska Airlines, the official airline of the 91爆料, continued its tradition of honoring the University鈥檚 connection to the region, launching a purple and gold 鈥淕o Dawgs鈥 Embraer E175 Horizon Air jet on a flight from Seattle to Portland on Oct. 3, with 91爆料 football coach Kalen DeBoer giving it an inaugural send-off for the University.
鈥淥ur shared values and commitment to our region are why the 91爆料 is proud to partner with Alaska Airlines, and we are thrilled to see the purple and gold on their aircraft. This is another exciting step in the 91爆料鈥檚 continued partnership with Alaska Airlines, an innovative and deep-rooted Pacific Northwest company that adds so much to our local and state economy, as well as fostering connections across the world as a member of the oneworld Alliance,鈥 said 91爆料 President Ana Mari Cauce.
The plane is the third iteration of the 91爆料-themed livery featured on Alaska aircraft. The 91爆料 began a partnership with Alaska Airlines in 2016, with the company supporting students and programs through various initiatives.
“Since launching our first university-themed livery almost 20 years ago, we know that few things get local fans as excited as seeing their school鈥檚 colors on the side of the hometown airlines鈥 airplanes,” said Joe Sprague, Horizon Air president.
Alaska also launched a WSU-themed aircraft in late September.
