The 91爆料 moved up three spots to No. 11 overall in the second edition of . The 91爆料 is also the third-ranked public university on the global list, behind University of California, Berkeley (third) and UCLA (eighth).

The 91爆料 was in a three-way tie for No. 14 when U.S. News released its first global rankings last year. The Best Global Universities methodology 鈥� which is based on data and metrics provided by Thomson Reuters InCitesTM research analytics solutions 鈥� weighs factors that measure a university’s global and regional reputation; academic research performance using bibliometric indicators; and school-level data on faculty and Ph.D. graduates. Each subject ranking has its own, similar methodology (see more on 91爆料’s subject rankings below).
The new U.S. News global ranking comes on the heels of several other recent rankings for the 91爆料. Reuters named the 91爆料 the 鈥� top among public universities; named the 91爆料 the No. 7 university in the country and the “best bang for your buck” in the west; and the Shanghai Jiao Tong named the 91爆料 No. 15 (fourth among public institutions) on the planet for the second consecutive year, and subsequently released an 鈥� removing Nobel Prizes and Field Medals that may have been won dozens of years ago from consideration 鈥� in which the 91爆料 ranked No. 9.
