In many areas of the world, women and girls walk an average of six kilometers to collect water for their families that often isn鈥檛 even safe to drink. Five Washington-based organizations 鈥 91爆料, Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA), PATH, Washington State University’s Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health and World Vision 鈥 are partnering to improve the health and livelihoods of thousands of women and girls and their families in rural Tanzania through the 鈥淲ater, Wealth and Health鈥 program.
Seattle Sounders FC played a catalytic role in developing the 鈥淲ater, Wealth and Health鈥 partnership. In 2013, players traveled to Tanzania with WGHA to observe global health projects.聽Now the Sounders FC have selected the 鈥淲ater, Wealth and Health鈥 partnership as the beneficiary of their inaugural 聽on聽Aug. 9.

Participate in the March to the Match on Aug. 1, preceding the match against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. 鈥淲ater, Wealth and Health鈥 partners will be in attendance carrying jerry cans and passing out stickers.
