The Dance Faculty Concert will be Jan. 23-25 at Meany Hall.

The 91±¬ÁÏ begins its 50th anniversary with the 2015 which, advance notes say, “includes everything from flying bodies to soup cans that playfully and architecturally define space.”

The concert will feature choreography by 91±¬ÁÏ dance faculty members and , with guests , an alumna and Broadway veteran, and well-known local choreographer . The show will feature live and recorded music by and of the 91±¬ÁÏ School of Music, among others.

Advanced undergraduate dancers will perform the following pieces:

  • “Incinerated,” choreographed by Mendieta, is “an intimate look at an individual who feels trapped in a dysfunctional relationship.”
  • “Seven,” choreographed by Scott, involves a field, a language lesson, firebirds and a small figure on a stool in a work “exploring physical stories and organic forms.”
  • “coats,” choreographed by Lincoln is an “eerie, minimalist, mysterious duet for two women in hanging suit jackets.”
  • “cans,” choreographed by Lincoln, in which 13 dancers and more than 200 silver cans “take over the stage, playfully dividing, reorganizing and transforming the space.”
  • “run down,” choreographed by Farmer, which “explores tracking and physical measurables — how we chase technology, and it chases us back.”

Performances will be Jan. 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. Jan. 25, in Meany Hall. are $10-$22. 206-543-4880.
