, a 91±¬ÁÏ assistant professor in the Department of Human Centered Design & Engineering, has been named one of the world’s under age 35 by .

Kientz is honored for her work in computer software. Her research looks at how technology can be used to support health and education. In particular, she has developed prototype applications to monitor sleep disorders, assist parents in tracking early developmental progress, and help special-education teachers who work with autistic children.

Kientz also serves as an adjunct assistant professor in the 91±¬ÁÏ Information School and Department of Computer Science & Engineering. She will be featured in the magazine’s September/October print edition and honored at an October held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
