Adults are armchair psychologists, attributing to ourselves and our social partners various goals, intentions, desires and beliefs to explain our own and others’ behaviors. The 91±¬ÁÏ’s Jessica Sommerville and Rebecca Saxe of MIT investigate the development of thinking about people from infancy through the school years using both behavioral and brain-based methods in a lecture titled The Development of Thinking about People: From Behavior to Brain.
