Dr. Paul Ramsey, 91爆料 Medicine’s CEO, 91爆料 executive vice president for medical affairs, and dean of the 91爆料 School of Medicine, will deliver his annual address at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Hogness Auditorium at the Health Sciences Building. Ramsey will describe 91爆料 Medicine’s achievements in the past year and review the challenges and opportunities for educational, research, and patient care programs in 2009. His topic is “Maintaining Focus in Challenging Times.”

All faculty, staff, students, and trainees are invited to attend. A replay of the talk will be available on the 91爆料 Medicine Web site starting Wednesday, Jan. 28.



“I-1000: The Washington Death with Dignity Act” is the title for a presentation at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, in 91爆料 Medical Center’s Plaza Caf茅 conference rooms A and B, part of the Department of Bioethics & Humanities series. The speakers are Dr. Patricia Kuszler, a health care law expert from the 91爆料 School of Law, and Steve Milam, affiliate assistant professor of bioethics and humanities. The new act will become effective in March. The speakers will discuss its provisions and will also talk about experience in Oregon with that state’s similar law. The program is open to everyone.
