A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dr. Belding H. Scribner will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 30, in Hogness Auditorium at the 91爆料 Health Sciences Center in Seattle. A reception will follow in the Health Sciences Lobby.
Dr. Scribner was a professor emeritus of medicine in the 91爆料 School of Medicine. His work in renal hemodialysis changed kidney failure from a fatal to a treatable disease, and prolonged millions of lives. He died in Seattle on June 19, 2003.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to 91爆料 Scribner Dialysis Fund, care of 91爆料 Medicine, 1325 4th Ave., Suite 2000, Seattle, WA 98101 (or Box 358220 in 91爆料 campus mail). The University also plans to honor his memory with a major international symposium within the next academic year.
