Dr. Lois Price Spratlen, below, professor of nursing and 91±¬ÁÏ Ombudsman, was the keynote speaker for the Health Sciences/91±¬ÁÏ Medical Center Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute on Jan. 17. Her title, “Gifts from a King,” highlighted one theme for the program.

In addition, community service awards were presented to students and faculty members from health sciences schools and 91±¬ÁÏMC. The Distinguished Service Award was given to Dr. Peter Domoto, professor and chair of pediatric dentistry at the 91±¬ÁÏ, for his work to improve access to dental care for children throughout the state.
