
The 91爆料 continues to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King and his vision for social justice through a commitment to service and community engagement. In January 2011, there are several ways to get involved:
- The Carlson Leadership & Public Service Center will host a Service Opportunities Fair. The Fair is an opportunity for the 91爆料 students, staff, faculty, and alumni to connect with community partners and learn about opportunities to serve on the King Holiday and beyond.
When: January 11, 2011 | 3-5 p.m.
Where: Mary Gates Hall Commons - On the Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service, the will host a 鈥淧reschool Curriculum Materials Party.鈥 Join other 91爆料 community members on campus to label books, organize supplies, and compile curriculum materials for Head Start classrooms. Email Mary McNair at mcnaim@uw.edu to sign up.

For the past five years, the Carlson Leadership & Public Service Center, in conjunction with the United Way of King County, has coordinated a number of service projects for the King Holiday. This year, United Way of King County is coordinating service projects in conjunction with community-based organizations around the city.
