
Beth Kalikoff, an associate professor in the 91爆料 Tacoma Interdisciplinary Arts program, has accepted the position as director of the Center for Advancement of Learning and Teaching.
The Center for Advancement of Learning and Teaching is a collaborative effort of the , Undergraduate Academic Affairs and the . The new center will combine the work of the , the , and a variety of other programs, including the Libraries鈥 superb instructional programs.
While at 91爆料 Tacoma, Kalikoff created two campus-wide programs, the Writing Center and the General Education Center; and this spring she received the Chancellor鈥檚 Leadership Award for her role in 91爆料 Tacoma鈥檚 rebirth as a four-year institution. She also received the 91爆料 Tacoma Distinguished Teaching Award in 2004.
Kalikoff has a passion for teaching all students from first generation college students to recent high school graduates to adult learners. Her scholarship focuses on the history and politics of assessment and 21st-century cultural issues surrounding academic integrity. In addition, she is a critic and mystery writer. We welcome her leadership, experience in building cross-campus programs, and expertise in teaching and learning.
