Teaching & Curriculum Awards

  • Student consultingÌýor research project embedded in your course with an international company, non-profit, or NGOÌý
  • Interactive international learning activityÌý(e.g., virtual museum tour or remote company visit)Ìý
  • Taiwan-Focused Projects:ÌýApplicants proposing a humanities or social science course on Taiwan that includesÌý‘Taiwan’ in the course titleÌýand has a substantial focus on Taiwan within a comparative, regional, or global framework are encouraged to apply.ÌýThis focus should be made explicit in the course description provided in the application.ÌýApplicants who intend to teach the supported course again in the future, ideally with a permanent course number from their home department, will be prioritized.ÌýÌýAfter the course is taught, recipientsÌýare required toÌýprovide the syllabus, course enrollment numbers, course evaluation quotes, and a brief write-up to feature on the 91±¬ÁÏ Taiwan Studies Program website to the 91±¬ÁÏ Taiwan Studies Program.Ìý

Awards cannot support long-term programs.Ìý

91±¬ÁÏ faculty members, research scientists, and non-faculty researchers from the Seattle, Tacoma, and Bothell campuses, are encouraged to apply. Graduate students, including PhD students, and post docs, are not eligible to apply; however, their involvement in the project’s delivery, such as serving as research assistants or interns, is encouraged.

All funded projects must submit a post-award report to the MyGlobal platform at the end of the award use period.

Failure toÌýsubmitÌýthe final report and budget on time will cause exclusion from future GIF applications.Ìý
