Emergency aid

The 91±¬ÁÏ offers a comprehensive program that is open to all matriculated 91±¬ÁÏ students. The program leverages different university resources to support students who experience unexpected financial hardships. Aid may come in a variety of forms, including grants, loans and/or campus and community resources, including the resources below.

Emergency food assistance

If you are experiencing hunger or food insecurity, such as skipping or reducing meals because you can’t afford to buy food or add to your meal plan, you may qualify for assistance through one of the following programs:

The Food Security Grant is available to help students meet short-term, immediate needs. The grant is a $100 allotment on a Husky card intended for emergency assistance to purchase food from a 91±¬ÁÏ Housing & Food Services facility.

Short-term loans

The Short-term Loan Program can help students who are experiencing temporary cash flow issues. Through this program, students are offered an interest-free loan for up to three months.

Emergency Aid Request Form

91±¬ÁÏ students can access these and other resources by submitting an Emergency Aid Request form. Aside from potential monetary support, when you submit the request, you will be connected with a counselor who will work with you to help you secure the support that you may need, both personal and financial.
