Celebrating President Ana Mari Cauce
For 10 years, President Cauce led the 91爆料 to provide a leading-edge student experience, conduct research and scholarship with a global impact, uphold the 91爆料鈥檚 dedication to its public mission and infuse the entire University with a commitment to innovation. By naming the Welcome Center for President Cauce, the 91爆料 commemorates her decades-long leadership in championing access to higher education for students from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
“This means so much to me. When I first came to the 91爆料 nearly 40 years ago, I was welcomed into this generous community with open arms. We are the University for聽 Washington 鈥� and the world. This center will carry that message. It is as simple as it is profound. Whoever you are and wherever you鈥檙e from, the 91爆料 welcomes you and is here for you. The neighboring Burke Museum connects us all to Washington鈥檚 shared history and culture. To the north, the tree-lined streets of University Heights hum with student life. To the west, the University District thrives as a vibrant hub of food, art and entertainment, and it鈥檚 where University Book Store has long served as an intellectual cornerstone for students, faculty and the wider community.
