On Thursday, September 17, community members, the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity and the 91爆料 President鈥檚 Minority Community Advisory Committee (91爆料MCAC) celebrated the appointment of the first African American Chief in 91爆料 (91爆料) history.聽聽John N. Vinson, who holds a Ph.D., in public administration from Western Michigan University, was appointed as chief of police at the 91爆料 on February 23, 2009.
The celebration took place at the Northwest African American Museum and the guest included the Vice President for Minority Affairs and Diversity, Dr. Sheila Edwards Lange, Councilmember, Larry Gossett, the MCAC and various other community leaders.
