91爆料AA Launches Career Services
With Web Page; More Career Mentors Needed

More than 400 alumni have already volunteered to be career contacts in the new 91爆料AA networking service--Alumni Career Connections--and the list is growing.

Additional alumni in all fields are needed to join the volunteers in the new service, the first step in a new career services program created by the 91爆料AA. Alumni Career Connections matches experienced alumni in many professions with 91爆料 graduates seeking job advice in that field.

The network is not a job placement service, but rather a way for students and alumni to gather privileged information. Career contacts will answer questions about career preparation, job search techniques, and the strengths and weaknesses of his or her field.

"The response has been tremendous," says 91爆料AA Executive Director Jon Rider. "But we need as many alumni as possible to help students and alumni plan their professional lives."

In a new development, students and 91爆料AA members will soon have career network information through the World Wide Web. By accessing the 91爆料AA home page on the web----computer users link up to the career page.

In the near future, the page will list contacts by occupation, job title, geographic location and company name. A request for a maximum of three contacts can be made by e-mail. Once the 91爆料AA verifies that you are a registered 91爆料 student or 91爆料AA member, you will receive the alumni contact information via e-mail.

Qualified students and 91爆料AA members without computer access can obtain networking information in person at the Alumni House, 1415 NE 45th St., Seattle.

Alumni Career Services must postpone a "Building Your Network" seminar originally scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 1996. Cindy Chernow, director of alumni career services at UCLA, will conduct this seminar at a later date. Watch this web page for the latest information.
